Tsunami hits Solomon Islands after 8.0 quake

An 8.0 magnitude earthquake that struck at 2.12pm local time just off the Santa Cruz islands, between Papua New Guinea and Fiji, has caused at least five deaths in the Solomon Islands after a 1.5m-high tsunami hit the low-lying land mass.
