Japan quake payments 10 times higher than for 1995 event
INSURANCE payments from the Japanese non-life sector are likely to reach 10 times as much as the ¥78.3bn ($967m) paid out after the Great Hanshin Earthquake of 1995, according to Yasuyoshi Karasawa, president of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co.
