Buffett eyes acquisitions
NEBRASKA-based insurance investment holding Berkshire Hathaway saw 2010 net income climb 61% to $12.97bn on improved underwriting results and the performance of recently acquired railroad Burlington Northern Santa Fe, as chairman Warren Buffett (pictured) told shareholders that the group would seek out acquisitions with some of the $38bn in cash that it held at year-end.
