NZ quake commission has paid out NZD581m
THE New Zealand Earthquake Commission, which covers residences for the first NZ$100,000 of building damage and up to NZ$20,000 of contents loss, has already paid out NZ$581m (US$447m) in claims as a result of the September 4th earthquake on the South Island, according to the Commission’s CEO Ian Simpson.
