Thai losses exceed quake bill for Japan’s big three
Estimated net insured losses incurred by Japan’s three major non-life groups from the recent flooding in Thailand have now surpassed their total exposure to the Tōhoku earthquake in March, with the carriers’ combined catastrophe bill from the two events totalling $6bn and rising.
