Hwee Hwee Tan joins Lloyd’s List from The Business Times (BT) in Singapore, where she covered energy and maritime and was well-known in Singapore for her in-depth coverage of restructuring in the offshore sector and International Maritime Organization green shipping regulations. Prior to BT, she was with oil and gas magazine, Upstream. Dubbed the ‘rig lady’ by one fellow journalist, she was chasing after rig-building orders at the height of the last oil and gas upswing. Hwee Hwee considers herself “a yard aficionado” and relishes every shipyard visit that comes by her way.
