Eric Watkins is the Americas Correspondent for Lloyd’s List, covering container traffic in the Western Hemisphere. Based in Los Angeles, California, Eric covers the major container ports along the Pacific Coast and is familiar with the region’s transport system, including maritime, railroad and trucking.

Eric brings a global perspective to his work, having worked as a foreign correspondent in the Arabian Peninsula, Central Asia, Africa and Europe. Now living on a bluff overlooking San Pedro Bay, Eric is well positioned to report on the global traffic that plies the seas to and from the Pacific gateways of North and South America.
