Greek shipping company numbers fall again but fleet continues to climb

Greek shipping continues to consolidate, a new Petrofin Research survey shows, as company numbers fell by 1.5% in 2018, while the Greek-owned fleet grew by 6.4% in dwt terms. The number of larger individual fleets are on the increase, although the markets last year helped most smaller Greek owners remain in the game

The latest Petrofin Research survey shows consolidation continues in Greek shipping but last year’s reduction saw a modest net reduction of nine in company numbers
