Everest Insurance enters Latin America with Chile unit
Insurance arm of Everest Re continues global expansion with new operation led by Pablo Korze
Everest Insurance has entered the Latin American market after receiving approval from regulators to operate in Chile.
The insurance arm of Everest Re group will operate as Everest Compañía de Seguros Generales Chile.
The unit will be led by the regional president of Latin America, Pablo Korze, with a flagship office in Santiago.
It will write products including property, marine, casualty and financial lines.
Korze said the new business has “assembled a deeply experienced team with a keen understanding of local market dynamics and challenges facing corporations”.
The entry into Latin America is the latest step in the expansion of Everest Insurance’s global footprint.
