Insurance Day’s London Market Forum, produced in association with Clifford Chance, set out the key challenges for Lloyd’s as it prepares to implement the next phase of its Future at Lloyd’s strategy. In this podcast, Insurance Day’s Lorenzo Spoerry and Scott Vincent examine the key talking points from the event.
With Blueprint 1A scheduled to be published in February, market participants will soon learn in more detail how Lloyd’s proposes to implement its strategy of market modernisation and reform.
Such a major overhaul inevitably creates execution risks, as discussed by Lloyd’s Market Association chief executive, Sheila Cameron, at the London Market Forum.
Hélène Stanway, digital leader at Axa XL, said the experience of working with Lloyd’s Lab cohorts had provided cultural benefits by helping encourage people to work in different ways and think differently.
Trevor Maynard, director of innovation at Lloyd’s, provided an overview of what to expert from the next batch of Lloyd’s Lab cohorts.
During the podcast, the Insurance Day team also look at some of the key challenges that need to be addressed as Lloyd’s implements its strategy. These include the need to ensure the market remains open to entrepreneurial talent and the importance of enabling sustainable entry into the Lloyd’s market.
Next year will see more details and greater granularity of Lloyd’s plans, which we will examine through further analysis, events and podcasts.
