Inmarsat orders spare $250m satellite as GX insurance but risk carriers face bill
Communications giant Inmarsat intends to use a fourth $250m Inmarsat-5 satellite, newly ordered from Boeing Satellite Systems, as a spare in case of a failure of one of the three others, which are crucial to its Global Xpress broadband network, and will expect insurers to foot the bill.
