Hartwig within 100 feet of Boston Marathon blast
Robert Hartwig, president of the Insurance Information Institute, was close to one of the two explosions that devastated the area around the finish line of the Boston Marathon, having attended the marathon with his wife to watch his son take part. He tweeted that he was “feet away from the explosion”, later stating that he had been not more than 100 feet away and that he and his wife would have been closer had their son not already completed his run. Mr Hartwig said that damage to property in the area seemed to have been light.
