PCI seeks Florida property solution
THE strengthening of building codes, broadening of the state’s hurricane catastrophe fund, offering consumers more coverage options and providing them with more information about how their premiums are used have all been touted by the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) as effective answers to Florida’s property insurance problems, which came to a head following the record-breaking 2004 and 2005 storm seasons.
