Ladbroke Grove rail crash survivor’s PTSD claim win
IN WHAT is at first glance a surprising decision, the UK Court of Appeal recently held that a passenger who suffered post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of the Ladbroke Grove train crash (pictured) and went on to commit manslaughter in 2001 can claim for loss of earnings both before and after the killing, despite now being detained in a secure hospital under the Mental Health Act.
