Further contraction likely in France as turnover continues to drop this year
THE FRENCH insurance sector should continue to contract in 2008, according to the French Federation of Insurance Companies (FFSA), after experiencing a 0.9% turnover decline in 2007, to €195.4bn ($302.8bn), caused by a strong drop in life insurance inflows.
