Global aviation accident rate rises
ACCIDENT rate deterioration in the emerging aviation markets of Indonesia, Brazil and Africa outweighed improvements in the old-guard regions of Europe and North America in 2007 to push the global air accident rate up by a notch to 0.75 hull losses for every million flights by Western-built jet aircraft.
