Authorities study credit derivatives
The US Department of Justice has requested detailed information from Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, Barclays Capital and more than a dozen investment banks and securities dealers as part of an investigation into the pricing of credit derivatives, the largely unregulated class of securities that led to the near collapse of AIG and contributed to the global credit crisis.
