Florida CFO warns of rate hikes
FLORIDA chief financial officer Alex Sink has warned in a report to the legislature that if a 1-in-100-year hurricane hit Florida, the state would incur $91bn in insured property losses, of which $61bn would be for home and condominium owners, exceeding the insured losses even of hurricane Katrina.
