“Most challenging year” in history prompts Hartford to $2.7bn loss
CONNETICUT-based The Hartford Financial Services has reported a 2008 net loss of $2.7bn from a year earlier gain of $2.9bn, in what chairman and chief executive Ramani Ayer described as “the most challenging year in our company’s history.”
