Florida hopes to attract commercial flood carriers as NFIP rate hikes ‘threaten economy’
Florida is hoping the private insurance sector will step in and start offering flood insurance on a commercial basis in the state in short order as imminent changes to the National Flood Insurance Program threaten to prevent hundreds of its citizens selling their homes and stifle the state’s economy.
