Severe snowfalls coming to southern New England
Two pressure systems heading from the northwest and the south-east are set to merge into a single meteorological disturbance before hitting the Northeast US later today, possibly bringing two feet of snow in places. Catastrophe modeller AIR Worldwide, itself based in Boston, said that by Friday evening local time heavy snow was expected across southern New England, hitting coastal New England by Saturday morning.
