Australian insurers see A$2.5bn losses from floods and Yasi
AUSTRALIAN insurers now anticipate paying out more than A$2bn (US$2bn) as a result of the floods that struck Queensland and parts of Victoria in December and January, plus another A$500m as a result of cyclone Yasi, the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) said today.
