Hurricane Sandy: Catlin gives first indication loss may not be as bad as expected
US: Reporting on the Catlin investor day, Berenberg analyst Tom Carstairs said the insurer provided an indication Sandy losses may not be as bad as expected. “For the first time since hurricane Sandy hit the US, we saw one of the companies under our coverage suggesting maybe industry insured losses will not be as bad as the market is assuming, at least not from its own experience thus far,” he said.
