No end in sight as market prospects for 2011 remain soft with rates falling
Revived balance sheets, surplus capacity and a lack of market-changing catastrophic loss activity, particularly in the US, combined to make the 2011 reinsurance renewal season a period of further softening, with leading brokers putting rate reductions at about the 5% to 10% range.
