Swiss Re’s CFO insists profit slump is an ‘accounting effect’
Swiss Re’s group chief financial officer (CFO), George Quinn, described the sharp decline in profits in the second quarter as an “accounting effect”, as the reinsurance giant slipped to a $83m profit from last year’s $960m on the back of a $1bn loss from its sale of Admin Re in the US.
