ABI’s Savill warns on Solvency II timetable
TRIALOGUE talks yesterday comprising officials representing the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Council failed to reach agreement on issues still outstanding relating to the introduction of Solvency II, leading Hugh Savill, Director of Prudential Regulation at the Association of British Insurers (ABI), to warn that “this result raises questions about the timetable for Solvency II and will leave insurers in limbo until an agreement is reached”.
