China regulator warns on chasing market share
XIANG Junbo (pictured), chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) since October 2011, has warned Chinese insurers that they need to keep up with a changing economic world, while observing that “a number of insurance companies do not attach importance to strengthening internal management and innovating their products and services, leading to the deterioration of their abilities to compete in the industry”.
