Liberty Mutual settles bid-rigging case
US non-life group Liberty Mutual has agreed to pay $2m to Connecticut and $5.5m in New York to settle allegations that it conspired with brokers to rig bids for large commercial p/c accounts and pay agents to steer business to preferred carriers, Connecticut attorney general Richard Blumenthal announced last week.
