US Appeals Court rejects Katrina deal
A THREE-JUDGE panel of the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals has thrown out a $21m settlement of damage claims tied to hurricane Katrina, saying that the deal was unfair and that its supporters failed to show how plaintiffs would benefit while surrendering rights to follow up claims.
