NZ quake hits Hannover Re, but profit forecast raised
THE earthquake that struck New Zealand’s South Island at the beginning of September caused losses of €90m ($124.2m) at German reinsurer Hannover Re, causing the combined ratio for the quarter to rise 2.2 percentage points year on year to 99.0%.
