Amlin estimates Xynthia, Chile losses
UK-BASED insurer Amlin has said that it expects no material claims as a result of Winter Storm Xynthia, which struck mainland Europe at the end of February, but that its initial estimated net catastrophe excess of loss account liability as a result of the Chilean earthquake will be between $142m and $165m, based on an insured market loss of $3.9bn to $7.7bn.
