Volcker blames NY for weak AIG oversight
FORMER Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker has attributed, in part, the 2008 near-collapse of now US government-controlled insurer AIG to poor state insurance regulation, according to transcripts of a financial meeting that was held last week in the New York office of France’s AXA.
